Â鶹ÊÓƵ, Goucher College Partner to Address Nursing Shortage with Collaborative Degree Program
Â鶹ÊÓƵ and Goucher administrators in UAB

Â鶹ÊÓƵ and Goucher College are partnering to address the ongoing nursing shortage in the state and nationwide by making it easier for students at Goucher to enroll in ±·¶Ù²Ñ±«â€™s fast-track Bachelor of Science in Nursing program. The new partnership between the two universities enables Goucher students to enroll in Notre Dame’s accelerated, second-degree Bachelor of Science in Nursing (ABSN) program once they graduate with any Bachelor’s degree from Goucher, and after completing required prerequisite courses.

If they meet admission requirements, eligible Goucher students will be accepted into Notre Dame’s nationally-accredited ABSN program, which can be completed in as few as 15 months. Â鶹ÊÓƵ President Marylou Yam and Goucher College President Kent Devereaux participated in a ceremonial signing of the joint agreement on Friday, September 13 in the School of Nursing's Center for Caring with Technology.

The retreat offered a perfect blend of environmental science, team building, and forward-thinking discussions to inspire and inform future teaching practices. Located in South Baltimore, Masonville Cove is the nation's first Urban Wildlife Refuge Partnership, home to a green building nature center and beautiful waterfront public trails.
